800名近くの子どもたちが選考に参加、未来の世界チャンピオンを目指す
香港 – Media OutReach Newswire – 9 May 2025 – CTF Lifeがタイトルスポンサーを務め、Kai Tak Sports Initiative（KTSI）が主催するトレーニングプログラム「Fencing Plus」がKai Tak Arena Grand Hallで正式にスタートしました。このプログラムはCTF Life CIRCLE会員向けの初のプログラムとなります。このプログラムの総合的な育成の枠組みを通して、香港のフェンシング選手の発掘や新世代のスポーツエリートの育成を推進し、「すべての人にスポーツを」の文化を育み、プロ意識を向上させます。合格した研修生は2年間の体系的な集中トレーニングを受け、「Fencing Plus」カップに出場できます。この競技大会で優れた成績を収めた選手はプロの指導を受け、香港の14歳未満のUnder-14 Cadet Preチームに参加する機会が与えられます。また、CTF Lifeが後援する「Asian Youth Elite Fencing League」への出場の機会が与えられ、世界中のフェンシング選手と同じ舞台を踏むことができます。キックオフ当日には、一般の参加者が運動能力を試し、来年の登録に向けて準備できるチャレンジイベントとして「Experiential Day」も合わせて開催されました。
キックオフイベントには、CTF Lifeの最高戦略責任者のDenise Au-Yeungや、Kai Tak Sports Park（KTSP）の（戦略計画担当）ディレクター、King-shing Tang氏、香港フェンシング協会のWing Sun Yeung会長、当プログラムのヘッドコーチ、Antonio Lam氏などが来賓として参加しました。また、このイベントに招かれた香港のフェンシング選手、Moriah Man Ngai See氏（Sabre）、Yeung Chi Ka氏（Foil）、Clarence Lai Ka Tsun氏（Epee）が、3種目の基本テクニックのデモを披露し、壇上で若い研修生に指導を行いました。また、歌手のPanther Chan氏とMike Tsang氏が歌で若いフェンシング選手を応援し、Antonio Lamの指導のもと、フェンシングを体験しました。
このプログラムには、CTF Lifeが参加をフルサポートした、対象となる恵まれない家庭の子ども達などから、1000件を超える応募がありました。選抜の第1回目がキックオフイベントと同日に行われ、応募基準を満たした約800名の参加者が、スピード、俊敏性、反射神経など身体的な運動能力を試す全日のインタラクティブなテストに参加しました。
